How to add a CAPTCHA on a "contact us page"
In this page, we’ll guide you step by step on how to add a CAPTCHA to a contact page to prevent unwanted or automated submissions.
What you’ll need :
- a systeme.io account
- an already created sales funnel
- a contact page within that funnel
1. Generate Your reCAPTCHA Keys
To add a CAPTCHA to your contact page in systeme.io, you first need to generate reCAPTCHA keys through Google. These keys will allow your page to communicate with Google’s anti-bot verification service.
Steps to follow :
- Go to the official reCAPTCHA website :
- Click the "First steps" button at the top right of the page. (number 1 on the image)
2. Configure Your reCAPTCHA
Once you’re logged in to the reCAPTCHA admin console, you'll need to fill out a form to create your custom reCAPTCHA.
Here’s how to fill out each field :
a. Label
In the Label field, enter a name to help you easily identify the project. (number 2 on the image)
Example: XXXX.com
b. reCAPTCHA type
Select "Challenge (v2)". (number 3 on the image)
c. Mode selection
Check the option "I'm not a robot". (number 4 on the image)
d. Domains
Add your domain (make sure there are no spaces or capital letters). (number 5 on the image)
e. Terms and alerts
Accept the terms of service and, optionally, check the box to receive alerts for potential security issues. (number 6 on the image)
f. Click "Submit" to finalize the registration. (number 7 on the image)
After completing this step, Google will provide you with two important pieces of information :
- Site Key
- Secret Key
Keep these keys handy for the next step.
3. Integrate reCAPTCHA into Your Contact Page
Now that you have your reCAPTCHA keys, you can integrate them into your contact page created with systeme.io.
Start by navigating to the Custom Domains settings (number 1 on the image), then click on the three dot icon (number 2 on the image), and finally click "Settings". (number 3 on the image)
Go to the "reCaptcha Settings" section to add your two keys, one public and the other private (respectively site key and secret key on your Google account) :
Once the keys are added, you have saved everything. You can start using the captcha on your contact us page.
Integrating into Your Contact Form
Steps to follow :
- Access your sales funnel
-Log in to your systeme.io account.
-Go to the "Sales Funnels" tab.
-Select the funnel that contains your contact page.
- Edit the contact page
-Click on "Funnel Steps".
-Click the "Edit Page" button next to your contact page.
The CAPTCHA element is already included in the contact page and ready to use. You can customize it using the options on the left-hand side of the editor.
You must make sure that the domain name, chosen on your funnel, matches the one you added on your Google account when generating the keys.
