How to automatically send an email with a file after a sale
In this article, we will see how to send an email containing a file to your customer after making a sale.
What you will need :
a systeme.io account
a sales funnel with a payment page
the file you want to send
Navigate to your sales funnel's "Payment page" (number 1 in the image), click on the "Automation Rules" tab (number 2 in the image), and click on "Add rule" (number 3 in the image).
Click on the "+" icon (number 4 in the image) to Add trigger
On the "Add trigger" popup that appears, choose the "New sale" trigger. (number 5 in the image).
Then click on the "+" icon (number 6 in the image) to display the list of available actions.

On the "Add action" popup that appears, choose the "Send email" action (number 7 in the image).
Note: Optionally, add the "Add a tag" action to categorize your contacts. Click here to learn how to create a tag.
After adding the actions, click on the "+" icon to create the email, then on the pencil icon to modify it (number 8 in the image).
In the "Create email message" popup that appears, add the subject, the content of your email, and your file.
To add the file, click on the "Add an attachment" button and then choose a file (number 9 in the image).
Note: To improve email deliverability, we restrict the size of file attachments to 5MB. If your file is larger than 5MB, you will need to compress it before adding it.
After the email is completed and the file has been added, scroll down past the "Available personalization substitutes" section and click "Save" (number 10 in the image).
After saving the email, save the rule by clicking on "Save rule" (number 11 in the image).
Testing the email automation
We advise you to make a test purchase through your payment page to confirm that everything is working properly.

1. Create an automation rule:

2. Create an email and attach your file:
After adding the actions, click on the "+" icon to create the email, then on the pencil icon to modify it (number 8 in the image).
