How to compress a video with Handbrake

In this article, you will learn how to reduce the size of your videos so that they take up less space and can be easily accessed in a browser.

You will need:

• Handbrake software (Download here)
• a video to compress

First, go to Handbrake and click on "File: open a single video file" (number 1 in the image) to put your source (video).

Choose where you want to save your file by clicking on "Browse". (number 2 in the image)

You must check the box ''Web optimized" (number 3 in the image) to optimize your videos for the web, this allows you to save them in a format compatible with the web.

Click on "Start Encode" (number 4 in the image) to start compressing your video.

If you want to keep the same dimensions of the video. Select "None" for "Anamorphic". (number 5 in the image)
